Super Group Spotlight is a new feature dedicated to taking a closer look at the many and varied Super Groups created by players of both City of Heroes and City of Villains.

Origins: The Paragon Taxi Service was started on the Virtue server in the US by Taxibot 1 and Taxibot 2, two years ago. They offered free teleports from The Yellow Line to the Green Line in Steel Canyon. Others thought this was a good idea and made other Taxibots, also people went onto other servers. When the European servers opened, TAXI started things up on Defiant. Since then, we have become more and more inactive in Europe, but I am trying to get more interest! 

Goals: The Paragon Taxi Service was formed to help heroes get there faster! This also helps them get more experience per minute.

Activities: We go on ‘duty’ in various places around Paragon City, such as the Atlas gate in the Hollows, and offer people teleports to that spot. We also do a charter service, which involves teleporting people to their missions, and Badge Tours, where we stand at badge markers and teleport people through most of the badges in one zone. On the US servers they hold AGs (adventure groups) where a bunch of taxis get together and do missions, which is something we’d like to do more often here in Europe.

Finest Moments: The Taxibots recently celebrated their two year anniversary. As well as a party on the US Test Server, we collected European Trial codes to allow some of our US members to join us for a late night party here in Europe.

Base: At the moment our base on Union is fairly minimal, with only a Worktable and a Medbay. We need more people to raise Prestige for us, so anyone interested in creating a Taxibot is more than welcome to join!

Future Plans: We intend to help more people, get larger and hold our own events for the whole server! Other servers have given out free Time Cards as prizes for competitions, and that is what I’m aiming for.

Recruitment: To apply for membership, first check out our website and read the join section. Then create a Taxibot with checkers in at least two areas of the costume, one of which should be the chest or legs. Obviously, your name should have ‘Taxi’ in it. ‘Taxi Man’ is good, ‘Ataxigloo’ is not so good. Then get in contact with me on Union (Taxibot Cyber) or TAXI16 for Defiant. We’ll arrange to meet and run you through the basics.
