Recluse’s Victory is near

The fight for tomorrow will begin in Issue #7.
Soon, the forces of good and evil will collide in a recursive future as they battle over Recluse’s Victory. Each victory or defeat will bring the reality of this alternate Atlas Park one step closer to “true time”. It will be up to the heroes of Paragon City to defeat Lord Recluse time and again, making a future free of Arachnos ever more real until it finally takes hold and denies all other conclusions. Meanwhile, the villains will strive to litter Atlas Park with the broken bodies of their hated foes and secure tomorrow for themselves.
Now, Statesman calls on all heroes of Paragon City to take part in this epic battle that will determine the very fate of the future. Read the transcript of Statesman’s radio address below…
“And Atlas Wept"
Heroes of Paragon, I speak to you on the second anniversary of our victory over the Rikti invasion with a heavy heart - for I have seen the possibility of a dreadful fate that we cannot let come to pass.
Through great sacrifice on the beaches and under-city of Grandville, Freedom Corps operatives have discovered that Lord Recluse is nearing completion of a temporal portal that could bring about the end of Paragon City as we know it! In his never-ending quest to destroy all that we stand for, Recluse is at this very moment seeking alternate time streams in which Arachnos has occupied Atlas Park. If he can lock this possible tomorrow into place, our own world may eventually be subsumed by that parallel time!
Recently rescued Portal Corps scientists confessed that they were tortured into building this doomsday device for the Arachnos Lord. But all hope is not lost – they also revealed that they secretly included a weakness in their design by covertly inserting a reset switch into the temporal anchors. This switch renders the device itself weak and unable to lock onto a given time stream for more than a few minutes. To counter this flaw, villains will have to constantly maintain control over these anchors if they ever hope to bring about their ghastly future.
With schematics smuggled out by these brave scientists, we have built our own temporal portal and have secured a base under the alternate Atlas Park. I implore you, fearless heroes of Paragon, to report to the D.A.T.A. offices in City Hall if you are willing travel forward into this time stream and defend our fair city from evil.
The strongest among us will join this struggle. Following me into battle are Manticore, Positron, Sister Psyche, Synapse, and Back Alley Brawler. We have also built our own Heavy Weapons Mobile Support Units, so take full advantage of these formidable weapons as they could turn the tides of war!
And make no mistake my fellow heroes, this truly is war. The very existence of our world is now in flux and we must work together to prevent this dark victory!"
