I was just wondering if i can use the trial to play my current city of heroes account? i will be most likely subscribing to city of heroes again soon but i might aswell leave it a bit longer if i can play for free using the cov trial.

Hope this helps.

I think what Mr. Pennell is trying to say is that he is not happy with the fact that he has to pay a monthly fee for a game that he has already played.

I was just reading an article from a guy who bought an Xbox 360, waited for FFXI, and was angry when he discovered he had to pay a monthly fee.

What I can’t comprehend is even if people like these two pay for a game without reading reviews or previews… do they not at least read the box to start with. On both titles, it states clearly on the box that there is an online fee.

For anyone who fails to realise why this is, it is because games like this have to be maintained. It is continually growing, and uses one heck of a lot of bandwidth. There are staff who continually work on the game, years after it’s release. It’s not like an offline game, where the developers are more or less done with it once it’s released.

Plus (speaking as a City of Heroes/Villains player… have no other MMO experience), the service in the games is very high quality. I personally don’t mind paying less than £10 a month to have the ability to play a game with my friends, where I am looked after and is continually expanding.

I too think it is silly that you have to pay monthly because in guild wars you only pay once and I really liked it. I was thinking about buying it but when i heard there was a fee it put me right off the idea.
