City of Heroes comic downloads

23 Jan, 2006

Get the first nine issues of the Top Cow comic!

From page to screen, and back to page again - City of Heroes has now inspired no less than two lines of comics. The first 12 issue run came from Blue King Studios. When that came to a close last year, heavyweight publisher Top Cow stepped in, hiring some of the industries most popular and successful writers and artists to tell the stories of Paragon City’s most famous heroes.

Now, we’re pleased to make the first nine issues of Top Cow’s book available for download to all our players…

Hmmm...the Blue King comics are REALLY good; but the Top Cow ones just seem like yawning M_rvel rip-offs.

“Oh, we’ve lost all our powers.”
... 2 issues later....
“It’s all back to normal.”

More Blue King imho

0Posted by Shaamaan on 29 Jan at 20:40

I’d like to see some more villains from CoV. I mean, Lord R’s bunch, and see them do some damage. >:]

0Posted by zanku on 31 Jan at 03:09

Awesome guys I really loved it!

0Posted by Captain Glory on 02 Feb at 00:17

I think the Blue King ones were excellent.  My favourite character was Apex.  He’s a clumsy Captain America, but I think he is superb.

0Posted by Donz on 02 Feb at 17:11

Excellent! Cant wait for issue 11 and 12 of Blue King, awesome story that is! Issue 10 kinda leaves u thinking “Noooooooooooooooooo!!” rasberry

0Posted by Nick Cadmium on 11 Feb at 18:11

0Posted by shane on 21 Feb at 14:43

0Posted by safa on 25 Feb at 16:00

When is the laste one coming ute cool hmm Hope thet one is cooool big surprise

0Posted by Vahiki on 02 Mar at 20:09

Really cool, never read any of these…
But why is Manticore wearing gold? One of his other costumes or is it anything special?

0Posted by SimonPip on 11 Mar at 23:11

It’s Manticore’s dad, the woman Protean incinerates is his mom, and the little kid is Manticore himself. (Of course, at that time, the golden guy is Manticore, and the kid is Manticore’s son. Hence, the Manticore legacy)

0Posted by andysmellsfromben on 19 Mar at 11:32

these are awsome and i mean that people downloading 1 through 5 is easy and fast they are great heros they rock

0Posted by GH on 13 May at 02:28

If i remember right. the blueking comic is over and not doing anymore. and if the fact that there hasnt actualy been a new one out in over 5 months i think its safe to say there arent gona be anymore.

0Posted by Lord Voltyrani on 13 May at 23:59

Erm, hasnt it been nearly 6 months since a comic release? Are there going to be no more issues?

0Posted by BL3ND on 14 May at 12:19

LOL These comics are actually really good. And i’m saying this as a person who hates comics! Manticore can’t go evil, he’s just stuck up himself a bit too far! ... at least, i hope..... angry

0Posted by keith parkes on 06 Jun at 14:51

grin A series of just cov comics would be great grin

wink Also why not release the comics in paper form in newsagents wink

2Posted by Bridger on 08 Jun at 16:54

keith parkes: You should be able to get the comics from comic stores - if they don’t have them, they should be able to order them from the supplier that handles their Top Cow titles.

Great comics!

However I did actually get the first 4 episodes of the Blue Kings ones included in the Deluxe edition of CoH, but it is nice to finish them off.

Is there anywhere we can download issues 10, 11,and 12 of the Top Cow ones? A nice clicky would go down a treat as I’d like some closure of the issue as well....  grin
