Try City of Heroes for free!

imageThat’s right, if you’ve ever thought about joining the heroes of Paragon City in their fight against criminal masterminds, giant monsters, alien invaders and the forces of chaos and darkness, now’s the time. NCsoft has teamed up with some of Europe’s biggest PC games magazines to offer a special 14-day trial of City of Heroes to their readers - for free! You won’t even need a credit card to register.

Potential heroes in the UK should grab a copy of Issue 150 of PC Gamer, due out on 9 June, which will come in a rather snazzy (and easy to spot) red package (pictured to the right). Both the DVD and CD Editions will feature a unique 14-day trial code with which you can start a City of Heroes account. The DVD Edition also features the full City of Heroes client on the DVD, while the CD Edition includes the Updater, which will allow you to download the client.

imageSpanish players, on the other hand, should nip down to the shops now and grab Issue 125 of Micromania (pictured to the left). As well as a unique 14-day trial code, the full City of Heroes client is included on the cover-mounted DVD.

Are you going to offer a trial period again?? I have gotten bored with my other MMORPGs after not too long and dont want to buy another untill I have tried it out.  I’ve heard great things.  Coming soon??

I recently joined via a 7 day trial in the states. I have created my character but I can’t get them to load. Once I log in to the game and choose my server I am presented with the character I created. When I click on the character to select, nothing happens. The link at the bottom right of the screen is still in gray. The only thing that I can do is go back to the character selection screen and create a new character. I’m tired of starting over at step one everytime that I play.

I have bought the double pack COH/COV i installed it and patched it. When i come to login screen it says username and password are incorrect, but they arnt, ive changed my password many times and done what it says in technical support but that didnt help me. Can you help me?

And btw ive also sent a question to the support team but i have had no reply......
